What:  SPECIAL EVENT: Holidays at the Hangar

Who: Over 5000 guests from all over Oregon

When: December 15 - December 30, 5:00 - 8:00 PM (Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)

Where: Aviation Museum

Why: Celebrating the Holidays with Evergreen!

How: Selling tickets, $12 for adults and $8 for kids.  Members ½ Price

Run of Show: 

Overview: Lights will be covering the Aviation Museum and exhibits. It will be an indoor light spectacle. Guests will be able to walk around the Museum and take pictures of all the lights. Sponsors may be in attendance interacting with people at their designated exhibit. 

Santa will fly in on a helicopter at 4:45 PM with special partnership with Precision Helicopters on Fridays & Saturdays (& Sunday the 17th)

Café: Open to sell Cocoa and Cookies until 7:45 PM Daily

Gift Shop: Open until 8:00 PM Daily

Theater: 3 PM Mon-Th, 6PM F-Sun (Polar Express - Free with HATH ticket)

Guest Activities (Location):

-         Meet Santa:  5 to 7 12/15 – 12/22 (Docent Lunch Area)

-         Polar Express: (Theater) The movie is included if you purchase a ticket to attend Holidays at the Hangar. If you would like to purchase tickets to the movie alone it is $5.00 for persons 5 and up. Children under 5 are free.

  • Tues-Sunday 12/26 – 12/31 3:00PM

-         Storytime: 5 to 8 12/15 – 12/22 (Near Spirit of St. Louis)

-         Santa’s Flight Planning: 5 to 8 nightly (FTC)

-         Letters to Troops: Daily (Near US Mail Plane (DH-4))

-         Ornament Making: 5 to 8 each night (TBD)

-         Carolers: from 5:30 to 7:30 each night

Additional Information:

Local Businesses will sponsor aircraft and decorate them (according to established restrictions).

A schedule will be added to show the times that businesses will be visiting and decorating their aircraft. A designated docent or employee needs to supervise decorating to ensure adherence to established guidelines. 

Portland Sea Cadets will assist in decorating other parts of the Museum. (Melissa Reis, XO of Portland Sea Cadets planning to clean and decorate planes on Dec 9th for a service project)

Pricing & Add-ons:

- Ticket: $12 for Adults and $8 for kids, Members half off. 

- Any Dec 17 120th Anniversary of Flight guests may enter HATH for 50% off when they show 120th ticket.

-         Docents free with up to 4 guests

-         At least one up to 3 docents (Highest need will be the weekend evenings).

Sponsors and their Employees are admitted free throughout HATH. Their guests will pay the membership price.
