SR-71 Symposium


The Evergreen Museum's Father's Day Weekend SR-71 Symposium is Back!

Join us for this biannual Evergreen Museum Special Event.

Guests will have a rare opportunity to peek in the SR-71 cockpit and meet the World’s Fastest Pilots

Throughout the day, guests can attend presentations on different aspects of the famed Lockheed Skunkworks spy plane, with Speaker Panels made up of SR-71 pilots, RSO's, maintenance and support personnel!

June 13th: Youth Group Education Days:

  • CAP, Sea Cadets and Oregon ROTC 10:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00

June 14thJune 14th & 15th 2023, 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM

FREE with paid museum admissions. Sessions held in the Space Museum. 

The SR-71 Symposium Scheduled Sessions (Subject to Change):

SATURDAY 6/17

  • 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Panel conversation - Moderated by Buz Carpenter - SR-71 Pilot

  • 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM: Cockpit 360 Presentation - Moderated by Jerry Glasser

  • 3:00 PM  – 4:30 PM:  Break-out sessions ( Q&A ) - Propulsion, OPS, Training, Maintenance Discussions

SUNDAY 6/18

  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: 360 Cockpit Presentation with PowerPoint Featuring SR-71 Pilot Jerry Glasser
    Held in Galaxy Theater (Space Museum)

  • 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Breaking World Records: “The SR-71’s Need for Speed” Panel
    Panelists –  3 ea. Crew and 2 ea. Maintenance.

  • 3:00PM – 4:30 PM: Walk-Around tours of the SR-71
